After not receiving Division I scholarship offers, Rochford continued pursuing his dream at the Globe Institute of Technology, where he quickly made an impact. He earned Region XV Player of the Year honors as a sophomore before transferring to Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2011.
At Fairleigh Dickinson, Rochford developed into one of the top players in the Northeast Conference. By his senior season, he had transitioned to center and averaged 14.7 points and 8.9 rebounds, earning recognition for his strength, skill, and competitiveness on the court.

Following his college career, Rochford continued playing professionally overseas. His career began in 2013 with Aris Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, eventually taking him to teams in Israel, France, England, Switzerland, Lithuania, and Iceland.
In 2017, he helped Sūduva-Mantinga capture an NKL championship, adding a major achievement to his professional career.
One of his most memorable stretches came while playing for Þór Þorlákshöfn in Iceland’s Úrvalsdeild karla, where he led the league in rebounding during the 2018–2019 season.
