The Princeton, Minnesota, community is mourning after a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Highway 95 near Princeton claimed the lives of four people, including Jeffrey Geisler, his family members, and another local resident.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the fatal collision occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. Monday on Highway 95 near 75th Avenue in Mille Lacs County.
Fatal Highway 95 Collision
Authorities said a Honda HR-V traveling west on Highway 95 crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta.
A Nissan Altima traveling behind the Jetta was also involved after being struck by a tire from one of the vehicles involved in the initial crash.
The impact caused devastating injuries, and emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide assistance and begin investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Victims Identified
The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, 60-year-old Jeffrey Geisler of Princeton, was killed in the crash.
Two passengers inside the Jetta were also killed:
16-year-old Steven Geisler of Princeton
57-year-old Susan Geisler of Princeton
Another passenger, 18-year-old Janessa Geisler of Princeton, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Honda HR-V, 80-year-old Marilyn Marshall of Princeton, also died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the Nissan Altima, 60-year-old Nadean Gross of Princeton, was not injured.
