At the time of his death, his mother shared that he had visited an emergency room about a week earlier after experiencing severe pain and was diagnosed with shingles. She expressed concern that he may have taken medication to cope with the pain after maintaining sobriety for three years, describing his death as a tragic accident.
Born on September 14, 1992, in Austin, Texas, Blake Garrett began performing at a young age. He started acting in local productions when he was just 8 years old, earning roles in stage productions including Aladdin and his Magical Lamp, where he played the magician, and Peanuts: A Charlie Brown Tribute, where he portrayed Charlie Brown.
His early theater work also included appearances in productions of The Wizard of Oz, Annie, and Grease. His talent and passion for performing eventually led him to opportunities in film and television.
Garrett gained national recognition for his role as Plug in How to Eat Fried Worms, a family comedy based on the 1973 children’s novel by Thomas Rockwell.
